BIOGRAPHY
SINISTER DAYS: FROM NANTES UNDERGROUND TO APOCALYPTIC PROPHETS
Genesis (2013-2020): Laying the Foundations
Formed in 2013 in Nantes, SINISTER DAYS emerged from the French underground with a constantly evolving lineup and an uncompromising approach to extreme metal. During these formative years, the band honed their craft in the shadows, gradually establishing themselves on the metal/hardcore scene through consistent artistic evolution and unwavering dedication to their vision.
The year 2020 marked a decisive turning point with a significant lineup renewal. The band welcomed Guillaume (ex-Quintessence of Versatility, ex-Hoperckut, Misfortune) and Vince (ex-Gokan, Skunt), two experienced musicians whose contribution considerably enriched the sonic palette and stage energy of the Nantes-based formation. This injection of fresh blood proved crucial in defining the band's mature sound and thematic direction.
First Strike: "SERVE/DESTROY" (2021)
The Musical Identity Emerges
SINISTER DAYS officially unveiled their music in 2021 with their debut release "SERVE/DESTROY", a self-produced 6-track EP that established the foundations of their sonic identity. This first outing revealed the band's DNA: driving metal hardcore rhythms fused with heavy beatdown pounding, enriched by eclectic influences drawing from both punk and black metal.
The band's approach combines death metal growls and screams with traditional hardcore vocals, occasionally enhanced by old-school effects that reinforce their underground character. Critics unanimously praised this approach, with Objectif Metal noting: "Beautiful project mixing Death, Black and Punk in explosive Hardcore Metal, the band radiates pure energy."
"SERVE/DESTROY": Global Capitalism and Violent Revolution
The "SERVE/DESTROY" EP (featuring "FAST FOOD NATION", "I CAN HAVE EVERYTHING", "SERVE/DESTROY", "ON A SPIKE", "KILL YOUR PRESIDENT" and "HARVEST") immediately presented a radical and uncompromising vision.
Critique of Consumer Capitalism: "FAST FOOD NATION" launches a scathing attack on corporate globalization, linking fast-food chains to the destruction of democracy itself. The track exposes how multinationals profit from child slavery and environmental destruction while consumers remain willfully blind to the true cost of convenience.
"I CAN HAVE EVERYTHING" explores the psychological warfare of advertising and consumer manipulation, depicting a society where pharmaceuticals become another commodity to sell to those driven mad by the very system that created their suffering.
Revolution and Political Violence: "ON A SPIKE" rejects electoral politics as a scam, advocating direct action against "puppets with too many strings" controlled by financial interests. "KILL YOUR PRESIDENT" represents the band's most extreme political statement, openly advocating assassination and revolution, connecting childhood indoctrination to adult disillusionment.
Ecological Misanthropy: "HARVEST" already positions the band as "priests of the high church, the darkest order", presenting humanity as "a virus fueled by stupidity, Nature's cancer". The title track "SERVE/DESTROY" depicts a world where humanity faces its final days, where "the air is unbreathable".
Artistic Maturation (2023)
In 2023, SINISTER DAYS underwent another profound mutation with the departure of founding member JC, an event that catalyzed an artistic transformation. The band took a decidedly darker and more massive turn, exploring the most brutal territories of contemporary hardcore metal, setting the stage for their next apocalyptic vision.
Apocalyptic Consecration: "DISCONNECT SOCIETY" (2025)
Thematic Evolution
The band's artistic maturation reached its apex in 2025 with the release of "DISCONNECT SOCIETY", a new EP (featuring "SEEDS OF DESPAIR", "SHOT", "THE DARKEST ORDER", "CLOUDS", "DISCONNECT SOCIETY" and "NO CARE FOR US") that pushed the exploration of dark territories even further.
Social Critique and Alienation: "SEEDS OF DESPAIR" develops a metaphor of fallen humanity where "the Tree of Hate should never bloom again", questioning the possibility of human redemption. "CLOUDS" paints a picture of collective depression where an entire generation mourns their lives spent working, "classified as disturbed". "NO CARE FOR US" constitutes a manifesto of generational anger, depicting a sacrificed class that promises to "take control of the world" and "watch them die".
Toxic Masculinity and Suicide: "SHOT" directly addresses the issue of male suicide through the lens of social injunctions. The track dismantles the mechanisms of toxic masculinity that drive silence and self-destruction, culminating in a brutal revelation that echoes the alarming statistics of suicide among young men.
Surveillance and Digital Alienation: The title track "DISCONNECT SOCIETY" develops a contemporary paranoia around mass surveillance and screen dependency, denouncing the transformation of society into a digital panopticon where security justifies the abandonment of all privacy.
Black Mysticism and Spiritual Corruption: "THE DARKEST ORDER" explores cult and initiatory mechanisms with disturbing precision, unveiling the workings of occult organizations where initiation passes through sacrifice and submission, questioning religious and esoteric power structures.
Sonic Evolution: From Underground Fury to Apocalyptic Brutality
Throughout their evolution, SINISTER DAYS maintained their commitment to a sonic brutality that matches their ideological extremism. Their sound draws from legendary bands like TRAP THEM, INTEGRITY and PULLING TEETH, but has evolved into something uniquely their own. Repetitive mantras ("Break these chains", "We're already dead") function as both revolutionary slogans and occult incantations.
Legacy and Impact: From Revolution to Apocalypse
SINISTER DAYS' journey from "SERVE/DESTROY" to "DISCONNECT SOCIETY" reveals a fascinating evolution: while the first EP advocated violent revolution and the destruction of the capitalist system with raw revolutionary energy, the second EP deepens this vision toward a more complex analysis of psychological, technological and spiritual oppression mechanisms. Where "SERVE/DESTROY" called for killing presidents and destroying institutions, "DISCONNECT SOCIETY" explores the psychic consequences of this oppression on individuals, particularly through male suicide and digital alienation.
The band has evolved from a brutal hardcore revolutionary act into a prophetic entity diagnosing the deep ailments of modern society—a complete manifesto of civilizational collapse that demands the attention of anyone seeking to understand where extreme music meets extreme times.
SINISTER DAYS remains an essential band to experience live to grasp the full power of their artistic proposition, now enriched with a thematic depth that resonates with the fundamental questions of our era.

Lyrics EP "Disconnect Society"
Seeds of Despair
when anger became root of the law
bitterness of injustice was too much
through their blood the fluid growned
"You think that's air you're breathing?"
Mankind has fallen
The Fruit has matured
Now see the toxic snowfall (Of)
the Seeds of Despair
On the graves of the ones died for our freedom
May humanity could seed itself again ?
The Tree of Hate should never bloom again
Let's make this one a better world again
- a better world again
Shot
"Be strong, don't cry"
Shut up. Take it.
This rage destroys me
Poison in my veins
"Real men don't break" So I stay silent
Getting darker, Deadly silence spreads
Break these chains, Smash the walls
Silence destroys, We're already dead
BREAK! THE! SILENCE! NOW!
That's why he shot himself
Darkest Order
Older enough to get in the order
The elder one teached him to submit
He had to proove his inverted values
Only the blood can pay the entry price
Exploitation, one way or another
Once you've been, in the Darkest Order
The Highest Church, minds are in control
The Chapter never suffered surrender
He paid the blood, He got the entry
His sacrifice, Never paid anything
Now he teaches, following the commands :
"you'll be slave, otherwise be master"
"this duicity has to be the only way"
Truth : you can pay, nothing will be better
Clouds
There is no perspective, We are the depression
Evrything you thought about is soon to be ended
The time is here, The anger grows
Ye be warned, We will fight you all
We mourned our lives working
Classified "disstressed ones"
We mourned our lives working
The only way to stay alive
The tree of hate grows
Taking roots deeply
Watching from above
Judging Humanity
Mankind is trapped
Dark are the clouds
There is no perspective, We are the depression
Evrything you thought about is soon to be ended
The swarm is here, The anger grows
Ye be warned, We will fight you all
Disconnect Society
We don't care, Many will ear our call
We just stare, Looking this world fall
Through your screen, you see the world of lies
We know the truth, we're screaming it out loud
The great enemy has made ittself as lamb
D'you feel the claws deeper in your flesh ?
Fallen brains into Dependency
Ignored mental instability
Forgotten privacy for security
We have to Disconnect Society
Disconnect Society
No care for us
No care for us - We will take over the world
No care for us - We will make them proud
No care for us - We will drag them down
No care for us - So we'll watch their death
They built the cage, We hold the keys
Their gold runs red, We drink their tears
They are nothing, We are everything
Still we rise, Still we fight
We starve while they feast
We die while they live
We suffer while they laugh
We break while they soar
